The International Course Ninth Annual New Presentations took place on June 28, 2003. There were eight news programs this year, each presented by a group of three or four students. The groups did fifteen minute English news programs similar to news shows on T.V. These programs included international news, national news, sports, and weather. They also included commercials the students designed, special, local, and human interest stories, business news, and entertainment news. The programs were excellent chances for the students to improve their English and overall communication skills, teach them how to use time, perform in front of a camera, design a set, make short films, make an elaborate but functional presentation using modern technology, work together in small groups, and do all these things in a creative and fun way.
